Four Teens Arrested In Tampa Robles Park After Running From Cops, Gun Charges

TAMPA, FL. – On Monday during the early morning hours, Tampa Police Officers were proactively patrolling Robles Park when they observed a vehicle driving in the neighborhood without a front driver’s side headlight.

Officers attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle immediately fled at a high rate of speed.

Police say that a helicopter was up and able to get a visual on the vehicle.

The driver drove to the 6000 block of Broadway Ave., going north and south on several of the side streets. The driver then drove through the intersection of 26th Av E and 66th ST N. At that time, it appeared several guns were tossed out of the vehicle, police say.

Two were located and recovered. The driver then continued on to 3201 49th St N where the occupants exited the vehicle and ran into an apartment.

Officers surrounded the apartment, along with K9, announcing themselves and ordering the suspects to exit.

All four suspects exited the apartment and were taken into custody. Located in the vehicle was another firearm, additional magazines, and ammo.

Police say 2 of the suspects arrested were juveniles, and charges are as follows:

  • 17 year old Resisting without Violence (juvenile, no photo)
  • 17 year old Fleeing To Elude (felony) ,Resisting without Violence (juvenile, no photo)
  • Jaqavious Well, 18, – Resisting without Violence
  • Jaiden Mitchell, 18, – Resisting without Violence
