TAMPA, Fla. – If you’re heading out the door in Tampa this morning, you’ll want to grab the heavy coat and maybe some gloves. We are starting off with a serious bite in the air as wind chills dip down to a freezing 25 degrees.
Despite the bright sunshine expected all day, the mercury is only going to struggle up to about 55. Things get even crispier tonight, with widespread frost likely to settle in after 1 a.m. as temperatures hover right around the freezing mark of 33.
The good news for anyone tired of the shivering is that a steady warming trend kicks in starting Tuesday.

After another frosty morning, we’ll see a much more comfortable high of 65. By Wednesday, it’ll actually feel like Florida again with a peak of 71 degrees. Just keep an umbrella handy for mid-week, as there’s a 50% chance of showers moving in Wednesday night and lingering through Thursday morning.
Once those clouds clear out Thursday afternoon, we’re looking at a pretty stellar weekend ahead for the Bay area. Expect a bit of a breeze on Thursday with gusts up to 21 mph, but things settle down quickly after that.
Friday and Saturday stay perfectly clear and sunny, with highs climbing back into the upper 60s. By Sunday, we hit the 70-degree mark again, making it a perfect window for any outdoor plans you’ve been putting off.
