POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A reality television cast member from the WEtv series Love During Lockup was arrested in Polk County, Florida, following a traffic stop on July 15, 2026.
Christopher Lee Chipps, 42, of Davenport, Florida, was arrested by Polk County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with driving with a suspended license, alongside multiple out-of-state parole violations.
According to public records and a morning briefing released by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Chipps previously served 10 years of a 32-year prison sentence in South Dakota for multiple convictions, including second-degree burglary and identity theft.
He was paroled in South Dakota before relocating to Florida, where he was recently involved in another law enforcement encounter in Naples, Florida, prior to his arrest in Davenport.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd spoke about the arrest during his daily briefing.
“He’s already spent 10 years in prison of a 32-year sentence, and I guess he was paroled in South Dakota, and then he went to Naples and he got in trouble, and now he came here and he was driving on a suspended license,” Judd stated. “This guy’s in trouble, he needs to be in prison, and he is obviously a slow learner.”
Judd added a warning to the suspect regarding his driving status in the county. “Christopher, get out of Polk County some way, somehow. Oh, but don’t drive, because you have a suspended license.”
Jail records indicate Chipps is currently being held at the Polk County Jail on a hold for South Dakota authorities due to the active parole violations. No bond has been set for the out-of-state charges.
