The line between investing in the stock market and predicting the winner of a football game just got a lot thinner. Webull (NASDAQ: BULL), the popular online brokerage, is officially diving into the world of prediction markets. By teaming up with Kalshi, a regulated exchange, the platform now lets users trade on the outcome of real-world events just like they would trade shares of a tech company.
This new feature isn’t limited to just financial news or economic data. Users can now buy and sell contracts based on sports results, including the upcoming Big Game, as well as cryptocurrency fluctuations and other major headlines. It turns a regular opinion—like who will win on Sunday or what the Fed will do next month—into a tradeable asset. Since rolling this out in the third quarter of 2025, Webull says they have already seen a massive jump in activity as traders start testing the waters.
Anthony Denier, the Group President and U.S. CEO at Webull, views this as a logical next step for their customers. He noted that sports prediction markets are a “natural extension” of how their users already think. The idea is that these traders already understand that prices usually reflect probabilities. Now, they can apply that same logic to a regulated event-based market rather than just corporate earnings.

For a beginner, the biggest difference between this and a standard sports bet is control. In a traditional bet, you usually place your wager and wait for the game to end to see if you won. With Webull’s prediction markets, the price of a contract moves in real-time as the game or event unfolds. If your team scores a touchdown and the probability of them winning goes up, the value of your position likely goes up too. You can choose to sell right then and there to lock in a profit, or you can get out early to limit a loss if things turn sour.
The platform has set this up in a central spot called the Prediction Market Hub. Here, users can see what the crowd is thinking through sentiment indicators and chat with other traders.
Webull has kept the barrier to entry low by offering these trades with $0 commission, though standard exchange fees still apply. For those who have never traded on probability before, the company added a “Predict 101 Help Center” to explain the mechanics and terminology in plain English. While the features are expanding, Webull reminds users that availability depends on where you live and is subject to local regulations.
