Two are in custody, and police are searching for a third individual involved in a dramatic hit-and-run crash Sunday morning, where a white Tesla jumped a curb, struck the patio of Norman’s Tavern in Miami Beach, and then crashed into a palm tree.
The incident, which occurred around 8:40 a.m., was caught on surveillance footage and witnessed by bystanders who recorded the aftermath as the occupants fled the scene.
Miami Beach Police confirmed that two of the three people who immediately exited the damaged vehicle were later detained. According to sources, the three occupants are believed to be tourists who were en route to the airport.

No injuries were reported from the crash, which a bystander said was preceded by the sound of a speeding car and police sirens.
Officers investigating the scene confirmed that no drugs or weapons were found inside the abandoned vehicle. The identities of the two detained individuals have not yet been released.
The third person remains at large, and the Miami Beach Police Department is actively investigating the incident. Authorities are asking the public for assistance in locating the outstanding suspect. Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the individual.
