POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff’s deputies caught up with a 27-year-old Lakeland man on Friday who had been dodging law enforcement across multiple jurisdictions. Doniven Hutsady Phabsomphou was taken into custody after a targeted search led authorities to a residence on Kanoy Drive.
The search for Phabsomphou began near the intersection of Lakeland Hills Boulevard and Old Combee Road, where investigators believed he was hiding out.
He was the subject of several active warrants, including a Pinellas County warrant for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (DWLSR).
Additionally, he faced a Polk County warrant for Failure to Appear on a string of charges, including another DWLSR, operating a vehicle without insurance, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Beyond the traffic-related offenses, Phabsomphou was a person of interest in a more serious case out of Winter Haven. The Winter Haven Police Department had been seeking him in connection with an investigation involving Written Threats to Kill.
Despite the nature of the charges, the encounter ended quietly.
Deputies located Phabsomphou at the Kanoy Drive home, and he was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office without incident. He was booked into the Polk County Jail following the arrest.
