Body Found In Teton Park Likely Gabby Petito, Person Of Interest Brian Laundrie Missing In Florida

A body has been discovered in Teton Park during the search for Gabby Petito on Sunday.

Teton County Coroner confirmed earlier on Sunday that a body was discovered but did not release the identity or even the sex of the discovered person.

The FBI updated the media 6:10 pm EST on Sunday to confirm that the body found was consistent with the description of Gabby Petito. The medical examiner will release a full report and identification.

The boyfriend identified as a “person of interest” after last month’s disappearance of his longtime girlfriend during a cross-country road trip for two has now bizarrely gone missing as well, Florida authorities said Saturday.

The search for Brian Laundrie, 23, focused on the 25,565-acre Carlton Reserve, a wildlife preserve in Sarasota Court, Florida, with roughly 50 law enforcers involved, said the North Port Police Department.

Authorities were using drones and all-terrain vehicles in their search, with investigators taking some of Laundries’ clothing to use with scent-sniffing dogs on the case.

This is a developing story and we will update it as further details are released.

The FBI is still asking for tips from the public as they continue to investigation the Petito case. Any tips and information can be submitted online at tips.fbi.gov or by phone to 1-800-CALL-FBI or 303-629-7171. Photos & videos may be uploaded to fbi.gov/petito.
