A Georgia man is facing federal charges after allegedly using social media to lob a series of gruesome death threats at two high-ranking former officials.
Elliott Owen Schroer was hit with a multi-count indictment this week in the Northern District of Georgia, accused of targeting former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and former Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The indictment, unsealed in the Gainesville Division, charges Schroer with two counts of threats by interstate communications and two counts of threatening former United States officials.
Federal prosecutors allege the threats were posted to the platform X on April 3, 2026, and were specifically intended as retaliation for the women’s official duties during their time in the Trump administration.

Court documents paint a graphic picture of the messages sent to Noem.
Schroer allegedly wrote, “I will stab your eyes out with a dull knife,” along with other violent imagery, including a post stating, “I will blow your esophagus out the back of your neck with a 12 gauge slug.” Another message cited by the grand jury warned, “We will put your head on a stake.”
The grand jury also detailed a threat directed at Pam Bondi, which reportedly stated, “We’re going to kill you, Pam.”
The case, which was filed on May 5, 2026, suggests that Schroer acted with a conscious disregard for how the communications would be interpreted. Under federal law, threatening former officials because of their past government service is a serious felony.
The investigation was handled by federal authorities, and the indictment was processed by the Clerk of Court, Kevin P. Weimer.
Schroer now faces the legal fallout of these posts as the case moves forward in the Atlanta-based court system. No specific trial date has been scheduled, and the court has not yet released information regarding Schroer’s legal representation.
