The public feud between President Donald Trump and former steadfast ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) escalated on Tuesday, with Greene holding a press conference alongside Jeffrey Epstein’s victims to push back against the President’s attacks.
The rift, which began with Trump withdrawing his endorsement of Greene over her criticism of his foreign policy and her refusal to back down on the Epstein files, intensified when Trump publicly branded her a “traitor” and “Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown” on social media.
Standing at the Capitol, Greene responded to the President, emphasizing that her loyalty is to her country and the American people—not to any individual politician.
“I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for five, no, actually six years for,” Greene stated. “And I gave him my loyalty for free… I’ve never owed him anything, but I fought for him for the policies and for America First. And he called me a traitor for standing with these women and refusing to take my name off the discharge petition.”
Greene then offered a re-definition of the terms: “Let me tell you what a traitor is. A traitor is an American that serves foreign countries and themselves. A patriot is an American that serves the United States of America and Americans like the women standing behind me.”
The Congresswoman maintained that the entire dispute boiled down to the issue of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s files, which she has actively worked to release via a discharge petition. She called Trump’s opposition to the release “shocking” and accused him of turning on her because of it.

Democrat Offers Pointed Advice: “He never loved you.”
The explosive intra-party spat quickly drew comment from Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), one of Greene’s frequent rivals in Congress, who seized the moment to criticize the President and offer unexpected, if barbed, support.
In a viral social media post, Crockett told her Republican colleague, “This almost feels like a moment where Marge should phone a friend… I’m here for you girl… I told you not to trust him… all he cares about is HIMself (and protecting pedos) he never loved you.”
Crockett concluded the post with a final piece of advice: “My granny always said ‘be with the man that loves you more than you love him.’ Trust me, sis, you are better off without him. The GWORLS are fighting!”
Greene has also raised concerns for her safety, stating that the rhetoric is “being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world,” leading to threats against her.
The public break-up highlights a significant ideological fissure within the Republican Party, pitting loyalty to Trump against a focus on “America First” and high-profile domestic issues like the Epstein files.
