The fracture between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and President Donald Trump deepened significantly on Tuesday, with the congresswoman issuing a scathing rebuke of the President following the Department of Justice’s release of a new cache of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Greene, who announced last month she would be resigning from Congress in January 2026, took to X to express her outrage shortly after the documents were made public.

The files contain numerous references to Trump, who has consistently denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes, maintaining that he severed ties with the financier nearly two decades ago.

“This is horrifying,” Greene wrote. “Trump called me a traitor for fighting him to release the Epstein files and standing with women who were raped, jailed in stalls, and trafficked to men.”

The Georgia Republican highlighted specific, graphic testimony within the release. She pointed to an account from a victim who described being “kept in a stall” and subjected to degrading comments about her appearance by Epstein and his associates.

“[Epstein] told me I was fat and ugly. So that’s what he called me,” the testimony read.

Responding to these details, Greene blasted the handling of the information. “Only evil people would hide this and protect those who participated,” she stated. “I pray for these women.”

The exchange marks a sharp pivot for Greene, once one of the President’s staunchest defenders on Capitol Hill.

The relationship has soured publicly in recent months, culminating in Greene siding with Democrats to force the release of the Epstein files—a move that reportedly isolated her within her own party.

Citing a desire to avoid a “hateful primary against me by the president,” Greene confirmed her resignation is set for January 5, 2026. RELATED: ‘Not Motivated By Power’: Georgia Rep. MTG Torches 2028 TIME Report As Fabricated “Complete Lie”
