“Get Counseling”: Border Czar Tom Homan Warns The “Road Show” Is Just Beginning

Tom Homan, the prominent face of the Trump administration’s border enforcement strategy, offered a blunt message to sanctuary jurisdictions during a Tuesday appearance on Fox News: get ready, because Minneapolis was just the opening act.

Speaking with host Sean Hannity, the border czar framed the current federal law enforcement surge in Minnesota as merely the “tip of the iceberg.” While citing alleged fraud involving billions of dollars as the catalyst for the Minneapolis operation, Homan made it clear that the administration’s sights are set on a much broader map. He specifically named Illinois, New York, and California as upcoming targets for what he described as a “road show” of enforcement.

“If the Democrats are having a fit now, you better get counseling because it’s about to get a hell of a lot bigger,” Homan stated.

The interview highlighted a continued standoff between federal authorities and local officials who oppose mass deportation efforts. Homan directly addressed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s defiance, countering, “Tim Walz says he’s not going anywhere? Well, either am I.”

He reinforced that top administration officials, including President Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi, remain lockstep in their commitment to “flood the zone” of sanctuary cities, a strategy Homan claimed would be bolstered by 10,000 additional agents.

Homan also took the opportunity to reassure the public regarding national safety, urging citizens to “sleep well.”

He asserted that the southern border is currently the “most secure” in the nation’s history, crediting Border Patrol, ICE, and FBI agents with working around the clock to remove public safety and national security threats.

However, the conversation took a sharper tone when addressing states threatening to block or arrest federal agents. Homan dismissed the resistance as ineffective, warning that federal forces “won’t be bullied” and are coming “hard and fast.”

While he noted that the priority remains criminals and security threats—citing a 70% arrest rate for public safety threats—he issued a reminder that simply being in the country illegally keeps an individual “on the table” for potential removal.

“We’re keeping President Trump’s promise to the American people to make this country safe again,” Homan concluded, promising a continued intensification of operations in the coming year.
