Got A Unique Event In Pasco County? You Could Get $10,000 To Promote It

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County organizations hosting artistic, cultural, or unique non-sports events could get a major boost to their marketing budgets. Florida’s Sports Coast, the official destination management organization for the county, has opened applications for its 2026-2027 Marketing Matching Sponsorship Program. The initiative offers up to $10,000 to help local events attract visitors from outside the Tampa Bay area.

The funding is designed to highlight the region’s diverse experiences and bring new attractions to life for both residents and tourists.

“We’re excited to partner with organizations, as it represents a fantastic opportunity to showcase our vibrant community and connect with visitors and residents in meaningful ways,” said Executive Director Adam Thonas. “Collaborations like this fuel our ongoing mission to create memorable experiences for everyone who comes to Pasco County.”

This year’s program features a tiered funding structure. Organizers can receive up to $5,000 through the core matching sponsorship. They can also tap into two additional incentives, including up to $2,000 for long-distance promotions and up to $3,000 for generating hotel room nights.

To qualify, organizations must provide a dollar-for-dollar match or equivalent in-kind goods, and all program funds must be spent strictly on marketing the event to tourists living outside of Pasco County. Eligible events must take place between October 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027.

Before any funding is approved, applicants have to attend a mandatory one-on-one session. Organizers need to reach out by July 2, 2026, to schedule their meeting by calling 727-847-8129 or emailing either kkgetz@FLSportsCoast.com or ainfante@flsportscoast.com.
