Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Monthly Member Luncheon

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019 the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) hosted their monthly luncheon event at The Regent, 6437 Watson Road, Riverview, FL. GRCC’s Taking Care of Business (TCOB) Group sponsored this Monthly Luncheon for the 4th year in a row. Pastor Johnny Honaker, River of Life Christian Center, provided the day’s invocation.
GRCC President Michelle Mosher, Southshore Insurance Professionals, LLC, welcomed the group. Then, leading the room this month in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance was 2019 Honorary Mayor of Riverview Bill Andrew, Tessera of Brandon. President Michelle Mosher, Southshore Insurance Professionals, LLC gave her last President’s Message as the GRCC President. Mike Jones will take the gavel during the GRCC Annual Dinner on January 17th, 2020. President Michelle Mosher, Southshore Insurance Professionals, LLC spoke about the opportunity members had to write a Google Review on GRCC before today’s luncheon to have the chance to be in a drawing for $100 cash. Bob Hintze, Waypoint Property Inspection, LLC won the $100 and selflessly donated the $100 back to the forthcoming GRCC scholarship fund.
It was at this December luncheon that the 82 nominees for Business of the Year were told which 9 of them had made it to the finalist categories. The actual winners will be announced at GRCC’s Annual Dinner on January 17th, 2020. President Michelle Mosher and Executive Director Tanya Doran presented finalist awards to the following businesses:

This month’s Ambassador of the Month certificate was presented to
Annette Bilyeu, Spectrum Business. Annette’s previous experience as a chamber professional and being a GRCC Ambassador for several years definitely well qualifies her for this award. Ambassador of the Year Janet Noah, Bridges Retirement Community, was delighted to present the award to Annette this month.
Faith Hanaway, The Alley at SouthShore and Marijean Reith, TEAM REITH – RE/MAX Realty Unlimited, as the Co-Leaders for TCOB, spent a few moments at the microphone telling the crowded room about the group. They both expressed their gratitude and emotions for not only the business they have established within the group but also the friendships and feeling of family that they receive. Invitation was made for everyone to come check it out on Thursday mornings at The Alley at SouthShore from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. The Taking Care of Business group will not be meeting December 26th or January 2nd due to the holidays.
Cassandra Hardy, Witt Fence Co. Inc., Member Spotlight for January 2020 took two minutes to talk about Witt Fence and pulled the name for the February 2020 Member Spotlight. The February 2020 Member Spotlight is Susan Williams, Fancy That Specialty Linens LLC.
During the luncheon, Elijah Heath, Heath Wealth Management LLC, welcomed 17 New GRCC Members who were presented a 2019 Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce membership plaque to proudly display. Kendra Wilson, Suncoast Credit Union – Riverview Service Center, provided recognition to all of the renewing members present at the luncheon.

Incoming President Mike Jones reminded everyone that the Annual Dinner, Caribbean Nights, is scheduled for January 17th, 2020 and it is now time to get your tables reserved. Attendees were also encouraged to attend the next GRCC Membership Meeting Luncheon scheduled for Tuesday, January 28th, 2020. RSVPs are strongly requested. This January luncheon will be sponsored by The Mosaic Company.
2019 Honorary Mayor of Riverview Bill Andrew, Tessera of Brandon, as well as Jill Andrew, Tessera of Brandon came to the podium to introduce the winner of the 2020 Honorary Mayor of Riverview race. Much praise was given to the two candidates who brought in a total of $34,848.22! With over $18,000 collected by Daniel Cyral, Hypnotic Engagements, Daniel was pronounced the winner. Daniel Cyral, Hypnotic Engagements will be donating his winnings to the charities, My Warriors Place and South County Spartans Athletic Program. Bryan & Marijean Reith, TEAM REITH – RE/MAX Realty Unlimited were also happy to have raised some much-needed funds for their charities as well. Bryan & Marijean donated money to ECHO- Emergency Care Help Organization and Impact Program. They will be Honorary Deputy Mayors for 2020. Daniel will serve one year on the GRCC Board of Directors and as a team they will all help to deliver Proclamations at GRCC Ribbon Cuttings and present the Pledge of Allegiance at the monthly luncheons. Daniel Cyral, Hypnotic Engagements did a raffle for his lottery board he graciously donated during the race which included a $100 bill and over $300 in raffle scratch offs. The winner of his board was Laura Nation, Oops A Daisy Flowers and Gifts.
The GRCC luncheons are held the fourth Tuesday of every month from 11:30am-1:00pm (except December which is the 3rd Tuesday) and the public is welcome to attend ($30 charge for non-members). RSVPs are requested. Please call the chamber office at (813) 234-5944 or sign up online.
