Groceries And Gore: Mother’s Day Horror As Florida Man Stabs Grandmother 11 Times

A Mother’s Day celebration in West Palm Beach turned into a bloody crime scene this past Sunday after a 29-year-old man allegedly stabbed his grandmother 11 times following a dispute over carrying groceries.

Keo Nottage Jr. now faces a charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon after a simple household request reportedly triggered a lethal “rage.”

According to an arrest affidavit, the incident began when Nottage’s cousin returned from the store with their grandmother. The pair had been out buying supplies for a holiday dinner.

When they arrived back at the residence, the cousin found Nottage lying on the living room couch and asked him for a hand with the bags. The cousin told investigators he was frustrated because he felt he was the only one helping out around the house.

The request sparked an immediate and violent verbal spat. Nottage allegedly declared that “someone is going to die today” before grabbing a large knife from the kitchen. While the cousin was outside attempting to call a family friend to help calm things down, he heard screams coming from inside the house.

Upon re-entering through the back door, the cousin witnessed Nottage standing over their grandmother with the blade. “You stabbed my f—ing grandma!” the cousin screamed, according to court documents. The grandmother was found on the floor, bleeding from nearly a dozen puncture wounds.

The violence didn’t stop with the stabbing. The affidavit states that Nottage then “aggressively chased” his cousin out of the house while waving the kitchen knife and shouting, “Do you want to fade? What the f— are you going to do?” The cousin managed to scramble over a fence on the west side of the property to escape and call the West Palm Beach Police Department.

Officers arrived at the scene and took Nottage into custody without further incident. The victim was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition. Hospital staff confirmed she underwent emergency surgery and is currently fighting for her life.

Nottage is being held without bond at the local jail. He is scheduled for his next court appearance on June 9, 2026.
