Gulfport Police Department Invites Citizens To 2025 Police Academy

GULFPORT, Fla. – The Gulfport Police Department is gearing up for its annual Citizens’ Police Academy, set to run from January 16, 2025, through March 20, 2025. The program offers residents an inside look at the day-to-day operations of Gulfport police officers as they serve the community.

Classes will take place on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., providing participants with firsthand insights into the responsibilities and challenges faced by law enforcement professionals.

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 16 years old.
  • Pass a background check.

Spots are limited and fill up quickly, with preference given to Gulfport residents. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply early, as the application deadline is January 3, 2025.
