ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A Gulfport teen has died following a late-night collision between his motorcycle and a cargo van at a St. Petersburg intersection.
The crash occurred just before midnight on Sunday at the junction of 18th Avenue South and Quincy Street South. According to investigators, Trevor Allen Fritz, 19, was traveling eastbound on 18th Avenue South. Fritz was operating a black 2020 Harley Davidson Iron 1200 at the time of the incident.
As Fritz approached the intersection, a silver 2018 Ram ProMaster 2500 cargo van headed westbound attempted to turn left onto Quincy Street South. The van moved directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle, resulting in a heavy collision.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported Fritz to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities confirmed that his next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and is cooperating with officials. Police have not yet released the driver’s identity or indicated if any charges are pending. The investigation into the specific circumstances of the crash remains active.
