NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Ashen Avenue area of New Port Richey around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. Preliminary information indicates that an argument involving two adult men and one adult woman, who were known to each other, escalated until one man shot the other.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The woman involved in the incident sustained no injuries. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived.

In an update, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the shooter has been found.
“The suspect has been located and is in custody,” the agency stated. Officials reiterated that the event was an isolated incident among known parties and concluded that “there is no public safety threat.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet released the names of those involved or the specific charges the suspect faces.
