TAMPA, Fla. – A shooting in a Tampa neighborhood sent a man to the hospital and triggered a heavy police presence late Monday afternoon. Tampa Police officers rushed to the intersection of 27th Street and 98th Avenue just after 4:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the area.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders treated the man on-site before transporting him to a local hospital. Medical staff confirmed that the victim is in stable condition.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and police have not yet released the names of those involved.
