Gunfire On North Marion Street Near Downtown Tampa Leaves Two Injured, One Critical

TAMPA, Fla. – A violent confrontation in Tampa sent two men to the hospital Friday night, leaving one fighting for his life. Tampa Police officers responded to the 1200 block of North Marion Street at 8:11 p.m. following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, units discovered two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported both victims to a local hospital. Officials have confirmed that one victim is listed in stable condition, while the second remains in critical condition.

Preliminary details released by investigators indicate that the shooting was preceded by a verbal altercation between the individuals involved. The specific nature of the argument has not yet been disclosed.

Authorities have detained a person of interest and are currently interviewing them to establish their level of involvement in the shooting. No official arrests have been announced as of Saturday morning.
