SARASOTA, Fla. – Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in Sarasota’s Artistry neighborhood on Saturday morning.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office received the call at approximately 11:45 a.m. While specific details regarding injuries, suspects, or a motive have not been disclosed, law enforcement officials stated that there is no active danger to the surrounding community.
“At this time, there is no outstanding threat to the public,” the Sheriff’s Office announced in a statement.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section remain on the scene to gather evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities request that anyone with relevant information contact the Criminal Investigations Section at 941-861-4900, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 941-366-TIPS (8477).
