A full month has passed since 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Arizona residence, and local investigators admit they are no closer to determining her whereabouts than the day she was reported missing.
On Monday afternoon, news cameras captured a quiet scene outside the Guthrie home as family members, including “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, gathered to place fresh flowers at a growing memorial.
According to reports, the family remained silent during the brief visit, standing briefly before the makeshift altar of bouquets and notes that has become a focal point for the community’s grief.
Despite the passage of time, the scale of the investigation remains massive. Local law enforcement officials confirmed they have been inundated with more than 10,000 individual tips from the public and have actively followed up on thousands of specific leads across state lines.

To date, however, none of these efforts have resulted in a significant breakthrough or a confirmed sighting of the elderly woman.
The most promising physical evidence currently sits in a forensic lab. Investigators previously recovered DNA samples from inside the home, which they have characterized as a complex “mixture” belonging to multiple individuals.
This biological evidence is now undergoing advanced genetic testing to see if it can be separated and matched to any known profiles.
While the results of these tests could provide the first concrete lead in weeks, authorities have not provided a timeline for when that analysis will be completed. For now, the case remains an active missing person investigation with no suspects named.
