Savannah Guthrie Issues Direct Plea To Kidnappers: ‘We Need Proof’

The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has officially crossed into its third week, leaving family and investigators on edge as they hunt for leads in her disappearance.

Nancy was reportedly taken from her Arizona home earlier this month, sparking a massive multi-agency effort that has yet to yield a breakthrough.

On Sunday, her daughter, “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, took to social media once again to release a direct message aimed at those involved in the abduction. In the video, Guthrie spoke calmly but firmly, stating that “it is never too late to do the right thing” and urging for her mother’s safe return.

Law enforcement officials are currently pinning their hopes on a piece of physical evidence found roughly two miles from Nancy’s residence.

A single glove was recovered during a recent sweep of the area, and forensic teams are working to extract DNA samples that might identify a suspect or a person of interest. While the glove is being treated as a significant find, police have not yet confirmed if it definitely belongs to a captor or to Nancy herself.

Despite the length of the investigation, a clear motive remains elusive.

A source familiar with the case told CNN that investigators have not yet zeroed in on why the 84-year-old was targeted. Neighbors and friends have been interviewed extensively, but the lack of a ransom demand or a clear trail has complicated the timeline.

For now, the focus remains on the forensic analysis of the recovered glove and the hope that public appeals from the Guthrie family will generate new tips. Local authorities continue to ask anyone with information regarding unusual activity in the neighborhood around the time of the disappearance to come forward.
