Florida Missing Child Alert Canceled For Jacksonville Teen, Located Safe

Brianna Horton has been located and is safe, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The Florida Missing Child Alert has been canceled.

ORIGINAL REPORT: The search is on for a missing teenager out of Northeast Florida. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has officially issued a Missing Child Alert for 15-year-old Brianna Horton, asking the public to report any potential sightings.

According to the active alert, Horton was last seen in the area of the 5700 block of 110th Street in Jacksonville. Investigators describe her as a Black female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

When she was last spotted, Horton was wearing a black-and-white hoodie, red shorts, and dark shoes. She was also carrying a light-colored backpack. Investigators highlighted one specific physical feature that could help the public identify her: she has two circular scars located on her right arm.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is leading the effort to locate the teenager. Authorities are urging anyone who has any information regarding her whereabouts to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office immediately at 904-630-0500, or to dial 911.
