Hernando County Deputies Search For Missing 11-Year-Old Brooksville Boy Last Seen Barefoot

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office has requested public assistance in the search for a missing endangered juvenile, 15-year-old Jeremy Woods Jr., who vanished from his home early Wednesday morning.

Jeremy was last seen at his residence on Lincoln Avenue in Brooksville at approximately 12:10 a.m. on May 6, 2026. Authorities have not provided details regarding the direction of his travel or the specific nature of the danger involved.

According to his physical description, Jeremy stands 5′ 7″ and weighs 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white shirt with unknown red lettering and black pants. Deputies noted that Jeremy was not wearing shoes and may be wearing a gray durag.

“If you have seen or know the current whereabouts of Jeremy Woods Jr., please contact the Hernando County Sheriff’s at 352-754-6830,” the Sheriff’s Office stated in an official release.

Officials confirmed that no additional details are currently available. Anyone with information is urged to contact local law enforcement immediately.
