HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is renewing its appeal to the public for information regarding two unsolved homicides that occurred in South Brooksville.

Detectives are actively investigating the deaths of Marcus Easterling and Devonta Washington, hoping to bring closure to the victims’ families and justice to those responsible.

Marcus Easterling was killed on March 3rd, 2017. Devonta Washington was killed on February 3rd, 2021. Despite ongoing investigations, both cases remain unsolved.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about either homicide to come forward. No piece of information is too insignificant, and even seemingly minor details could help investigators piece together the events that led to these deaths.
