HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has announced roadwork schedules and lane closures for Hernando County from May 10 through May 16, 2026.
Motorists traveling on US 98 will encounter flagging operations and lane closures between CR 491 (Citrus Way) and Landfill Road. These operations are scheduled to take place from Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15. The work will be conducted daily between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Additionally, a temporary turn lane closure is scheduled for the intersection of SR 50 and US 301. The eastbound right-turn lane from SR 50 onto southbound US 301 will be closed starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.
According to the FDOT release, while the specific turn lane is closed, “turns available from the right thru lane.” The lane is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Friday, May 15.
