PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatality that happened on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Pasco County. The incident took place at approximately 4:40 PM on Beagle Road, just east of Orwell Road.
According to FHP investigators, a Saturn sedan driven by a 37-year-old Hudson man was traveling eastbound on Beagle Road at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which exited the roadway and traveled onto the shoulder.
The Saturn then struck a telephone box, a fence, and a tree in successive order.

Troopers confirmed the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the sedan during the collision. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as a 40-year-old woman from Spring Hill, sustained serious injuries in the crash. Troopers say she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of impact.
Emergency medical services transported her to a local area hospital for treatment.
