High-Speed Crash On I-75 Entrance Ramp In Tampa Kills Riverview Man

TAMPA, Fla. – A 29-year-old Riverview man was killed early Monday morning after a high-speed, single-vehicle crash on the entrance ramp to northbound I-75 from Fowler Avenue, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The fatal accident occurred around 7:00 a.m.

FHP Troopers reported that the driver, operating a Honda sedan, was traveling westbound on the ramp leading from the westbound lanes of Fowler Avenue to the northbound lanes of Interstate 75.

The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle. The Honda departed the roadway, overturned multiple times, and ultimately collided with a tree.

The force of the rollover ejected the Riverview man from the sedan. He suffered fatal injuries at the scene and was pronounced deceased.
