HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – With temperatures expected to plummet below 40 degrees with wind chill, Hillsborough County is opening cold weather shelters tonight and tomorrow night to provide refuge for those in need.
The shelters will be open to homeless individuals and those who lack adequate heating in their homes. However, due to limited capacity, residents are encouraged to exhaust all other options, such as staying with friends or family, before seeking shelter space.
