HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Town N’ Country residence was heavily damaged Wednesday evening after a fire broke out, drawing a large response from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. Emergency dispatchers began receiving multiple calls at 7:25 PM reporting a fire at a home located on Yorkshire Drive.
Upon arrival, the first fire crews on the scene reported heavy smoke and visible flames venting through the roof of the single-story house.
Firefighters deployed hose lines and entered the structure, successfully bringing the fire under control within 15 minutes of their arrival.

Rescue teams conducted a primary and secondary search of the premises and confirmed that no occupants were inside the building during the fire. One person was evaluated by paramedics at the scene but declined transportation to the hospital.
The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Fire Investigations Unit is currently on-site to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.
