RUSKIN, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) successfully contained a residential structure fire in Ruskin on Tuesday evening, preventing it from causing further damage and ensuring the safety of all residents and first responders.
At approximately 5:16 p.m., HCFR’s Emergency Dispatch Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a house fire on Domino Drive S.
The first HCFR engine arriving at the scene was met with significant flames, with heavy fire showing through the roof of a single-story home. Firefighters immediately launched an aggressive attack, deploying hose lines and rapidly advancing into the burning structure.
Their swift actions were highly effective, bringing the intense blaze under control in just 15 minutes.
Crucially, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported among either the residents of the home or the firefighters battling the flames.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by HCFR’s Fire Investigations Unit, which remains on the scene. The American Red Cross has been contacted and is assisting the residents displaced by the incident.
