HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a 911 call for a structure fire at 4016 Cortez Dr., Unit C.
Officials say there were four condos evacuated that shared a common breezeway; two have been cleared, and the residents were allowed to return to their homes.
The first crew arrived on the scene at 6:42 am and declared it a working fire; within eight minutes, they had a knockdown, and by 6:54 am, the fire was out.
Residents were evacuated prior to our arrival, and no injuries were noted by occupants or firefighters. HCFR Fire Investigators are currently on the scene, and the fire remains under investigation.
