Firefighters Contain Blaze in Minutes, Residents Displaced
TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) swiftly responded to and brought under control a residential structure fire this afternoon in the Town N’ Country area of Tampa, preventing further spread and ensuring no injuries.
At approximately 3:30 PM today, HCFR’s Emergency Dispatch Communications Center began receiving multiple 911 calls reporting an active house fire on Larmon Street.
Upon arrival, the first engine company was met with heavy flames visible through the roof of a single-story home. Firefighters immediately launched an aggressive interior attack, deploying hose lines to contain and extinguish the blaze.

Their rapid response and coordinated efforts proved effective, as the fire was brought under control in just over 10 minutes after the first unit arrived on the scene.
A search of the residence confirmed that no occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire. Crucially, there were no reported injuries to either civilians or first responders.
The American Red Cross has been notified and will be providing assistance to the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
