HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County is encouraging residents to shine a green light in support of veterans this week. Joe Chillura Courthouse Square and John F. Germany Public Library are illuminated green during Operation Green Light, and residents can participate, too.
Hillsborough County and Operation Green Light’s mission is to show support for veterans and their families, as well as raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by many veterans and the resources available at the County, State, and federal levels to assist veterans and their families.
Residents are encouraged to join the County in illuminating green by simply changing one light bulb in their house to a green bulb.

This can be an exterior light that neighbors see, or an interior light that sparks conversation with friends. By shining a green light, we are letting our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.
