HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old man currently held at the Hillsborough County Jail faces a slate of new charges following an investigation into allegations involving a teenage victim, authorities said.
Sergio Hollis has been charged with three counts of lewd and lascivious battery and five counts of possession of child sexual abuse material with intent to promote.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office first opened an inquiry into Hollis on Nov. 16, 2025, after receiving reports of sexual battery.
According to investigators, Hollis connected with the teenage victim on social media, shared inappropriate images, and had inappropriate physical contact.
Detectives discovered on Aug. 13, 2026, that Hollis was already in custody at the county jail, having been booked on Aug. 7 on unrelated charges.
The new charges were added following the conclusion of the sheriff’s office investigation.
