HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – On Friday, Dana Galen, the Chair of the Hillsborough County Republican Party hosted the Party’s premier fundraising event, the Lincoln Day Dinner.

Nearly 450 guests were present at The Regent in Riverview to hear Governor DeSantis speak for nearly an hour about the achievements of his administration and Florida’s bright future.

The Governor’s speech was interrupted throughout with applause and at the completion of his remarks and the guests honored him with a standing ovation.

The Lincoln Day Dinner is the largest fundraising event held by the Hillsborough Republican Party. The guests were treated to a program packed with Florida’s finest, as all the speakers were elected officials from the State of Florida.

In addition to the Governor, the guests heard from United States Representative Laural Lee, who represents the 15th Congressional District, which encompasses East Hillsborough, Thonotosassa, Plant City, parts of Brandon, and parts of Pasco and Polk counties. Congressman Byron Donalds, United States Representative for Florida’s 19th Congressional District represents Southwest Florida, including Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Naples rounded out the slate of live speakers.

Finally, completing the evening of the Florida’s finest speakers, the guests heard video recorded messages from Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Vann Morris, a combat veteran and motivational speaker.

Mr. Morris closed the event’s program with his moving presentation, “Old Glory,” for which the guests rose in applause and appreciation.
