RIVERVIEW, Fla. – A 41-year-old Riverview man faces multiple felony charges following a sexual abuse investigation involving a teenager, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Karl Slazinski on Saturday, after detectives secured a warrant the previous day.
The investigation began on May 7, 2026, when detectives uncovered evidence that Slazinski had been communicating with a 15-year-old victim since around May 2023. According to investigators, Slazinski met with the teenager multiple times within Hillsborough County over a three-year span, during which sexual acts occurred.

Slazinski now faces five specific charges: use of a child in a sexual performance, lewd or lascivious battery, traveling to meet a minor after using computer services or devices to solicit illegal acts, transmission of harmful material to a minor, and unlawful use of a two-way communications device.
“This adult exploited and manipulated a child for years, using communication and calculated grooming to commit these horrific crimes,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement. “Protecting children remains one of our highest priorities, and our detectives worked tirelessly to build this case and ensure this individual is held accountable.”
Authorities stated that the investigation remains active.
