Hillsborough County Sheriff To Detail Murder Charges In Separate Fentanyl Overdose Deaths

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled to announce two arrests in separate fentanyl overdose death investigations, with both suspects facing first-degree murder charges.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister will hold a press conference Monday afternoon to detail the cases and outline how detectives identified the individuals accused of distributing the controlled substance that led to the fatal overdoses.

Chronister is expected to address the growing dangers of counterfeit pills in the community and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to holding drug distributors accountable when their actions result in a loss of life.
