Operation Recovers Stolen Firearm, Cocaine, and Other Illicit Drugs
TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has arrested three individuals and recovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and narcotics following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on East Grove Avenue in Tampa.
On Tuesday, HCSO deputies and SWAT Team members served a court-authorized search warrant. After multiple commands were given, the occupants exited the home and surrendered into custody without further incident.
The individuals were identified as David Green III, 24, Kemry Stargell, 35, and Melvin Fowler, 33. All three are now facing serious charges, with Green facing counts including Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Stargell is charged with Possessing Cocaine and Cannabis with Intent to Sell, while Fowler, a convicted felon, faces charges for Felon in Possession of both a Firearm and Ammunition. All three individuals are also charged with Resisting an Officer without Violence.
The search of the residence led deputies to a vehicle on the property, where a stolen Smith & Wesson handgun was discovered. In total, four handguns were recovered, along with 277.9 grams of crack cocaine and 520.5 grams of marijuana and sativa resin.
“Those who bring illegal narcotics and guns into our neighborhoods will be met with the full force of law enforcement,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the swift actions of our deputies and teams, these dangerous criminals are off the streets, and we will continue to pursue anyone who threatens the safety of Hillsborough County.”
