HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation just released its latest list of roadwork schedules for February 1 through February 7, 2026, and there are plenty of cones going up on major highways and local roads alike.

For those who drive the interstates at night, keep an eye out for crews on I-275. The Howard Frankland Bridge will have lane closures between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties every night from Sunday through Saturday, starting at 9 p.m.

Over on I-75, drivers will see closures from the Tampa Bypass Canal to Fowler Avenue all day long through the end of the month. There is also overnight work scheduled on I-75 between SR 574 and Fowler Avenue, as well as southbound lanes from Harney Road to the Bypass Canal. If you take I-4, watch for lane closures on the eastbound exit to County Line Road nightly from Sunday through Thursday.

US 301 is going to be a particularly busy spot for construction crews this week. You will likely see delays near Ayersworth Glen Boulevard and Big Bend Road during the day and late at night. The stretch from Whitt Road to Rivercrest Drive has both day and night closures scheduled all week.

Further down the road, the area from Bloomingdale Avenue to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will have lanes closed 24 hours a day. There is also round-the-clock work happening at the southbound turn lane at Columbus Drive until Wednesday.

Drivers using US 92 should be careful on Gandy Boulevard east of the bridge, where eastbound lanes will close overnight starting Sunday. Dale Mabry Highway will also see some action between Ballast Point and Gandy Boulevard beginning Monday night. If you commute on Nebraska Avenue, expect intermittent lane closures at night from Palm Avenue to Columbus Drive.

State roads aren’t escaping the work, either. SR 60 has several active zones, including overnight closures on Memorial Highway near the Veterans Expressway and night work from SR 39 to Clarence Gordon Jr. Road. During the day, expect slowdowns on Adamo Drive between 50th Street and US 301. If you drive Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, watch for night work at Lakewood Drive and daytime closures at N 12th Street.

Finally, keep in mind that Frontage Road near West Cypress Street has long-term closures in place that will last well into next year.
