HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation has released its District 7 lane closure summary for the week of June 14 through June 20, 2026. Drivers traveling through Hillsborough County will need to plan ahead to navigate a mix of daytime, overnight, and continuous road construction on major interstates, state roads, and local streets.
Interstate 275 will see heavy nighttime construction across several zones. On the Howard Frankland Bridge between Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, lanes will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, June 14 through Saturday, June 20. Northbound I-275 from south of Exit 39 to just north of the SR 60 interchange will have closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Further inland, I-275 closures between Willow Avenue and Green Street run Monday through Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
On Interstate 75, drivers traveling between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Fowler Avenue should prepare for nightly lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. These closures begin Sunday, June 14, and are scheduled to last through Friday, July 17.
Major US routes are also heavily impacted. Eastbound US 92 on the Gandy Bridge and US 92 from the bridge to Dale Mabry Highway will experience nighttime closures from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. for most of the week. Commuters on US 41 will navigate daytime lane closures over the Hillsborough River on Nebraska Avenue from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, while the US 41 bridge over McKay Bay will see night closures from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Closures on US 301 are spread across multiple locations. Nighttime closures span from the Manatee County line to Sun City Center Boulevard between 7 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., and from Causeway Boulevard to I-75 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. US 301 under I-75 will close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday and Monday nights. Daytime drivers will encounter lane closures at Ayersworth Glen Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Several State Roads are on the schedule for the week. SR 60 will have overnight closures at North 26th Street and from Buckingham Place to Lithia Pinecrest Road. Park Road (SR 553) from Baker Street to north of I-4 faces both day closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and night closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. On SR 574, crews will close lanes at North 12th Street during both the day and evening, while closures at Buccaneer Place will run nightly from 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Drivers should also note overnight closures near I-4. Between Sunday and Thursday, lanes will close nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Branch Forbes Road under I-4, Mango Road over I-4, and McIntosh Road under I-4. Southbound County Line Road from Swindell Road to South Frontage Road will have night closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
Finally, motorists will need to detour around three long-term, 24-hour continuous road closures. Broadway Avenue under US 301 is fully closed through July 17, 2026. Frontage Road is closed from Cypress Street to Cypress Center Drive until late 2026, and another section of Frontage Road from Cypress Street to Lemon Street remains completely closed through January 2027.
