Hillsborough COVID-19 ICU and Hospital Capacity

TAMPA, Fla. – According to the Agency for Health Care Administration hospital database, as of Thursday 7/23/20 at 2:16 PM, in Hillsborough County, there are 3,360 total hospital beds in Hillsborough County, with 522 total beds available. These are all hospitalizations and not necessarily COVID-19 related.

The Agency for Health Care Administration hospital database breaks down ICU Bed availability by county and hospital in that the county. The AHCA is reporting 7.88% of adult ICU beds are available or a total number of 29 of Adult ICU Beds.

Of those hospitalizations, the database is reporting that 607 of those hospitalizations are from a primary diagnosis of COVID-19. This number has trended up a bit from our last report on July 16th.

We will update the hospitalization capacity rates for beds and ICU beds as the data changes. All of this data is from July 23rd, 2020 at 2:16 PM.
