Grab a jacket and keep the rain gear handy, because the next few days are going to be a bit of a rollercoaster. Forecasters are calling for a 50% chance of showers today, with thunderstorms likely to roll in after 2 p.m.
It’s going to be a breezy one, too, with northeast winds hitting 13 to 17 mph and some gusts reaching as high as 28 mph. While most areas will see less than a tenth of an inch of rain, those caught under a thunderstorm should expect much heavier downpours. The high will hover around 76 degrees before dipping to a low of 64 tonight.
The unsettled weather lingers into Thursday, though the odds of getting wet drop slightly to 40%. Similar to today, the morning looks partly sunny, but thunderstorms could develop again after 2 p.m.

Temperatures will climb slightly to a high of 78, accompanied by 24 mph gusts. By Thursday night, the clouds should begin to break, leading to a low of 61.
Once we hit the weekend, the script flips entirely. Friday marks the start of a steady warming trend, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 82. By Saturday, that number jumps to 84, and the winds will finally start to settle down. If you have outdoor plans, Sunday looks like the winner of the week, boasting clear, sunny skies and a high of 86 degrees.
The heat doesn’t stop there. Monday is expected to reach 87 degrees under mostly sunny skies, and by Tuesday, the region will be flirting with the 90s as the high climbs to 89. After a breezy and damp start to the week, the forecast points toward a dry, bright, and significantly warmer stretch ahead.
