According to preliminary information, an argument between an adult man and woman, who were known to each other, occurred around 11:30 p.m. The dispute reportedly escalated when the man struck the woman. Upon their arrival, Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to make verbal contact with the subject outside his residence for several hours without success. Deputies then heard a gunshot from within the residence. After continued failed attempts to make contact, deputies entered the home and found the subject deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities stated that no foul play is suspected in the death. This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
