PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A crash on US-19 near Tahitian Gardens Circle early Saturday morning resulted in the death of a 41-year-old Holiday man, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The FHP report states that the driver of the Kia Sorento, identified as a 41-year-old man from Holiday, was in the center lane when his vehicle veered into the inside lane. This movement caused the Kia to collide with a Honda Odyssey, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Crystal River, which was traveling in the inside lane.

Following the initial impact, the Kia Sorento left the roadway and came to a rest in a ditch along the shoulder. The driver of the Kia was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not been released at this time.

The driver of the Honda Odyssey was reportedly uninjured in the crash and was able to bring her vehicle to a controlled stop.
