Holiday Motorcyclist Dies After Nighttime Crash With New Port Richey Driver

A traffic incident involving a sport utility vehicle and a motorcycle resulted in one fatality Wednesday evening in Holiday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The collision occurred at approximately 8:44 PM at the intersection of Sunray Drive/Perrine Ranch Road and Grand Boulevard.

The incident involved two vehicles: a Nissan Pathfinder, driven by a 45-year-old female resident of New Port Richey, and a Suzuki motorcycle, operated by a 34-year-old man of Holiday.

The Pathfinder was traveling eastbound on Sunray Drive, approaching Grand Boulevard, while the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Perrine Ranch Road, also approaching the intersection.

At the intersection, the Nissan made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle. Subsequently, the motorcycle struck the Pathfinder.

The operator of the motorcycle was transported from the scene to an area hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the crash, but later died from those injuries.
