PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 59-year-old Holiday woman has died following a two-vehicle crash on US-19 in Pasco County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
State troopers reported that the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on August 11, 2026. A 34-year-old Holiday woman was driving a Toyota 4Runner northbound on US-19 when the vehicle drifted onto the outside shoulder for unknown reasons.
The 4Runner traveled several hundred feet along the shoulder before colliding with a Hyundai Elantra.
The Hyundai Elantra, driven by the 59-year-old woman, was stopped at a red traffic signal on Continental Drive at the intersection of US-19 when the impact occurred.
Both drivers and a 38-year-old Holiday man, who was a passenger in the Hyundai Elantra, sustained injuries in the collision. First responders transported all three individuals to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The driver of the Hyundai Elantra later died from the injuries she sustained in the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol has not released the names of those involved, and the cause of the vehicle drifting remains under investigation.
