Homicides, Handguns, And Hosted Chaos: Florida Sheriff Crackdown On Deadly House Parties

Osceola County Sheriff Christopher A. Blackmon issued a stern warning this morning regarding a surge in illegal house parties that have recently spiraled into lethal violence. The announcement follows a string of investigations by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office into gatherings that resulted in the shooting of a 17-year-old and two separate homicides involving teenagers.

Law enforcement has begun rounding up those accused of orchestrating these events. On Thursday, the Fugitive Unit and U.S. Marshals apprehended 19-year-old Jeremiah Kelly-Alexander Richmond of Kissimmee.

Richmond faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and tampering with evidence. Detectives allege he promoted and operated two illegal open house parties connected to the deaths of 17-year-old Qvarious McCloud and Daesean Anthony Moctezuma.

The arrests continued over the weekend after deputies responded to a massive gathering on Thunderbird Road in Kissimmee, where gunfire erupted.

Following that incident, 18-year-olds Katty Francois and Neika St. Louis, both from Orlando, were arrested for promoting the party and contributing to the delinquency of minors. A third individual, 19-year-old Robert David White, was also taken into custody on drug and weapons charges.

“These are not harmless parties,” Sheriff Blackmon stated, noting that the events frequently involve underage drinking and firearms. “They create dangerous environments… that put lives at risk.”

With the Rolling Loud music festival approaching this weekend, the Sheriff’s Office is bracing for a potential influx of similar gatherings. In a joint effort with the Florida Highway Patrol, there will be a significantly increased police presence throughout the tourist corridor and areas dense with short-term vacation rentals.

The goal is to proactively shut down illegal parties before they escalate into violence.

Beyond enforcement, Blackmon urged parents to take a more active role in monitoring their children’s whereabouts and social circles to prevent them from attending these high-risk events.

The Sheriff’s Office has signaled that it will continue to aggressively pursue anyone organizing or promoting these parties. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding these cases or upcoming illegal events to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office or Crimeline.
