HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County will host its 61st Annual Veterans Day Tribute on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum, located at 3602 N. U.S. Hwy. 301, Tampa.
The free, family-friendly event is a salute to Veterans of all eras and military branches, and is open to the public.
Hosted by Hillsborough County Consumer & Veterans Services and the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, the annual outdoor celebration will feature a program rich with patriotic elements and community engagement.
Highlights of the tribute include:
- A JROTC color guard and patriotic music.
- The presentation of Veterans Council Awards and appearances by special guests.
- A variety of on-site resources for Veterans and military families.
- Free refreshments following the main ceremony.
- A kids’ craft area offering take-home creations.

The event site, Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum, has achieved national recognition for its dedication to honoring the military. For the ninth consecutive year, it has been named an official Regional Veterans Day Site by the national Veterans Day Committee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a designation that recognizes excellence in patriotism and honor.
The community is also encouraged to tour the park’s many monuments, including the new Gold Star Family Memorial. The park is free and open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
