Horrific I-65 Highway Cruelty: Alabama Man Arrested After 5 Kittens Thrown From Moving Car

An Alabama man faces felony charges after multiple witnesses reported seeing him throw five kittens from a moving vehicle onto Interstate 65 during afternoon traffic.

The incident occurred on May 30, 2026, at approximately 1:00 PM. The Homewood Police Department received a flurry of emergency 911 calls from motorists who reported a driver throwing small animals out of a car window on I-65 near the Lakeshore Drive exit.

Officers immediately flooded the area and spotted a vehicle matching the detailed description provided by witnesses on Lakeshore Drive. Police pulled the vehicle over and detained the driver on the spot.

According to investigators, multiple witnesses confirmed they saw the driver throw five kittens directly into the highway traffic while the car was in motion. All five kittens were struck and killed by other oncoming vehicles on the interstate before anyone could rescue them.
